Who Are The Somerset Paddies?

The Somerset Paddies play a blend of Somerset and Irish songs and music. The band performs as a duo, trio or four-o, singing songs by the late Adge Cutler, The Wurzels, Brendon Shine, The Pogues, Dubliners, and others - with plenty of audience participation.

The band's line-up is:

  • Billy Wicks who plays guitar and vocals with a infectious stage presence. He used to be a solo star as Just William, and also part of Bristolian duo The Whiskey Chasers with Roger.
  • Roger Gordon plays accordion with electronic bass and vocals, and formerly the other half of The Whiskey Chasers.
  • Landfill plays wash board pots and pans.
  • Pete Cook plays fiddle; a fantastic musician, he also performed as a solo artist for many years.
